How long does it take to print and order?
The question of how long it takes to complete an order is one of the most common queries we get from customers.
We appreciate that everyone is looking to get their jobs completed and delivered as fast as possible and we will do all in our power to help you out, but sometimes your deadline may just be to last minute.
We don't offer a same day or while you wait service, all orders are printed in order of priority, or on a first come first served basis.
In this article we have listed a few points that may affect the time it takes to produce your order, like capacity constraints, physical production time and coping with production errors.
Every service business comes up against the issue of capacity as this is the main variable with regards to your completion date. At any point in time we have a large number of orders in our production queue, of various sizes, that we need to complete before we can start on any new order, sometimes we can juggle this with customers that are not too fussed about the completion date and we are able to adjust our capacity at certain times, but in general there is a least a week of production capacity in our system.
The physical production of an order depends on the size of the order. In general the larger the order the longer the production time will be. One t shirt could take a very small amount of time. This is the reason we are able to offer a 5 day turnaround (Note: This does NOT include the delivery time) with small orders on our design a t-shirt website. Customers have the ability to process and pay for small orders online, and cut out our customer services order processing time, making orders available for production scheduling very quick.
Errors in our production line, printing mistakes, garment and fabric faults, and incorrect garment supply, lost or late deliveries can all affect our production times.
So you may be asking, why is our general turnaround time, 10 days working days to complete your order? Well, the answer is simple, so we can deliver to you what we promise, if we say we can do it in 5 days you will expect it in 5 days, not 7 or 10. So if we say we can do it in 10 days, we will have your order completed in 10 working days.
So this extra week allows for our production capacity to move around a little, this allows for any production mishaps and any incorrect deliveries from our supplies, all these things can affect our ability to deliver on our promises.
If you ring our customer service line our team will be able to look at our production schedule and advise you of the next available production slot for your print method.
However this is just a guide and will not guarantee a place, as our production slots are filled after we have received your print ready artwork and payment.
We do advise our customers who have tight deadlines if it is possible to do it in their time frame. We will NEVER say yes to a rush order if we are not confident that we can meet your deadline.
We look at our production schedule, and we see if there is a way to increase our capacity that week, we even can search our extended network of printing contacts to see if there is anyone that can meet your deadline. If not, we say No, your deadline is not possible for us at this time.
Before we can help you to process your order, you need to ask yourself, do you know what you want printed? Is your artwork ready to print? And do you know what t-shirts you want your design put onto, the colour and the sizes.
If you answer yes, then the next step is to submit this information to us for a quote.
